DaNcIng AwAyYy :-)

Been a while since I updated here…a while by my standard that is :-)! 4 days!

First the Saturday presentation went of fine! Phew! Thanks for all your wishes and for boosting my confidence!!! YAY!! :-)

It was a rather hectic day because we had to drop Vedant for his presentation at 9am, and then rush to his school for the PTM (parent teacher’s meeting) which we couldn’t make it to eventually because believe it or not, it poured here!!! And that led to crazy traffic snarls. At one traffic crossing, it took us 40 minutes! Halfway through we realized we couldn’t get to school and make it back on time to pick up Vedant, so we turned back.

Vedant had a great time on stage and in the audience too watching the performances of other kids! We came home for lunch and then went back again to the same venue (it’s roughly a 40 minute drive) at 5pm for my presentation. It started late because many were held up because of the rains! But the wait was worth it…there were 50 performances…and some special performances by underprivileged children, physically challenged kids and a batch of parents! The icing on the cake was the performances by our instructors and also the students selected to be imparted special training!

Of course watching the other “beginners” groups performing was a delight too! I can’t say how we did. I guess we did fine…ummm…I never got a chance to get any kind of feedback in all the excitement! :-) And no videos or pics….those who tried to capture the action on their mobiles were asked to delete it! Hmmmm! :-( I didn’t keep my phone with me. Lol Rajiv says I would definitely lose it in the crowd…I’ve been pretty unlucky with my phones in the past!!!

And yes Vedant and I signed up for the next level too and classes will begin on 25th September.

There was talk of a trip to the US next month to visit my brother. R is going on a business trip and I was to tag along. But sadly getting a visa at such short notice is proving extremely tough! I am disappointed…extremely disappointed! But again to quote Sudeep in his last post “there are two sides to every story”…well, in this case, we were leaving Vedant behind and that had me worrying, so now that won’t happen! And ummm, to make up for this disappointment, we’re planning a family vacation during Vedant’s diwali break in the last week of October!

Where? Not sure yet…toying with many options. It’s peak season almost everywhere and so that makes it a little difficult to pick a destination that’s going to be fun and affordable! Since we’ll be traveling with Vedant, I really don’t want to rough it out in anyway…everything has to be perfectly planned! Although, we’re looking at places out of India too…but somehow I have my heart set on Goa again! Not just because I’ve been there and liked the place but because I went there without Vedant and every time he sees the pics he keeps asking me “why am I not there mummy?” …. *sigh*

Okkk… this kid has a long life…gotta go make him some sandwiches…he’s jumping all around me chanting “sandwich…sandwich…sandwich”…. Blanking out any other thing that I might have wanted to write about!!!!

Oh yes…I was wrong about my blog birthday date…its 11th September and not 9th! Can’t think of anything special to do…just happy knowing being here has been the best experience ever! And YOU all are the BEST!!!

Ps: The music playing is “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado. Enjoy ;-)!!!
